My relationship with media

My relationship with media dictates many aspects of my beliefs, even without my knowledge. My attempts to refute the media’s influence on my life whether it be my taste in music, film, religious and politics beliefs, and so on have been one with struggle. It’s difficult to question a view that seems to be widely accepted by people, when in reality it’s just the media promoting certain ideas to make them seem more liked than they are. As much as I like to believe that I have entire independence in adopting and reflecting on my views, I have much less control than I think. I don’t feel that I have neither a positive or negative relationship with media, but I feel that I should keep in mind that the truth is so easily distorted when it seems as though it is universally accepted as how things should be.
