Looking at the components within articles from The New York Times and Fox News, the differences were easily comparable. On them topic of the Migrant caravan, Fox News provides their intake. Fox paints a picture that depicts the people who are te migrating into the country to be mainly of criminals , or people who are more likely to do harm. “29-year-old Jose Villalobos-Jobel told law enforcement that he was a citizen of Honduras and an “active gang member” belonging to the notorious MS-13 criminal organization.” This alters the way the audience views because it allows for them to associate all people from the migrant caravan with being criminals, or belonging to gangs. New York Times however, victimizes the people from the migrant caravan. “Including parents with their toddlers, more than 40,000 other migrants were being held in detention facilities across the United States.” This draws out the sympathy of the audience by associating toddlers and small children with the people in the migrant caravan.
